To become a Participation Contractor in the Premium Efficiency Cooling Program, you must meet minimum qualifications which include industy-related certifications, financial criteria and insurance coverage standards. More information is available on the BECOME A CONTRACTOR page of this website.
TUNE-UPS & THREE YEAR MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS:
Sales & Operations Training - This training intended for contractor management, sales, scheduling, data entry and/or financial staff. New contractors interested in performing Tune-ups or Quality Maintenance services for the Premium Cooling Program are required to complete this training.
Technician Training* - This training consists of a three-part series of 1 classroom and 2 field sessions for new technicians delivering tune-up or quality maintenance services. Field training is approximately 6-8 hours per technician. All portions of the training must be completed before new technicians or contractors may deliver program services.
*All technicians will be pre-screened to determine eligibility prior to attending a training session

Submitting a Reservation is the first step in determining a project's eligibility. Reservations can be submitted by any number of parties including:
- The Customer
- The Contractor performing the work (must be a enrolled in the program for Tune-up or Three Year Maintenance Services)
- A Commercial Equipment Distributor
- A Property Manager
- An Energy Consultant on behalf of their customer
